Christmas Angels

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! As I am still working on all the plans which I have for my website, I decided it was a good time to launch my Blog. And how could I do it in any other way then by sharing a cute pattern with all of you!

Mind you, the pattern is written in US terms. And the wooden beads I bought in a box with different sizes of wooden beads, which did not include the exact sizes of each bead.

These are all the materials that I have used:

    ☆ Lana Grossa - Brigitte No.5 Nature

    ☆ Durable Glam - 2172 Creme

    ☆ Durable Glam - 2210 Gold

    ☆Scheepjes Twinkle - 933 Pink

    ☆ Wooden Beads

☆ Darning needle in two sizes

    ☆ Scissors

☆ Crochet hooks in the sizes 2,5mm and 3,5mm

    ☆ Super Glue

Let's start with the Angels body - Lana Grossa and Hooksize 3,5mm

Row 1: 4sc in mr. End with a sl.st in first st (4sc)

Row 2: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) 2sc in each stitch. End with sl.st in first st (8sc)

Row 3: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) *1sc, 2sc in next st* Repeat *..* another three times. End with sl.st in first st (12sc)

Row 4 & 5: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) 1sc in each st. End with sl.st in first st (12sc)

Row 6: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) *1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next st* Repeat *..* another three times. End with sl.st in first st (16sc)

Row 7-9: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) 1sc in each st. End with sl.st in first st. Weave in ends (16sc)

On to the wings (you need two them) - Durable Glam and Scheepjes Twinkle - Hooksize 2,5mm

Row 1: 4ch, skip first ch. 1sc in each ch (3sc)

    Row 2: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) 2sc in each st (6sc)

Row 3: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) *1sc, 2sc in next st* Repeat *..* another two times (9sc)

    Row 4-7: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch) 1sc in each st (9sc)

Row 8: ch1 (doesn't count as stitch), *3dc in st, 1sc in next st* Repeat another three times. End with 3dc in last st.

Do not cut your yarn! This is where we are going to do the final touches of the wings. Just go on where you just ended the row. You are going to crochet around the wings: 7sc on the first side of the wing, 3sc at the tip of the wing (photo below, my hook points to it), 7sc on the other side of the wing. Cut your yarn and weave in ends.

Last thing to crochet: a loop - Lana Grossa - Hooksize 3,5mm

Crochet a 30ch. Fold it and tie it with a knot.

Assemble the angel by pulling the loop through the wooden bead, attaching it to the body. And last but not least, you could choose to either sew the wings to the body or simply glue it together with super glue, which is what I did.

Your Angel is all ready now! I hope you enjoyed making them. Please tag me on Instagram or Facebook when you made them, so I can share them in my stories.

    Much love, Frederika
